I am a creative professional, filmmaker, and lifelong learner. I am passionate about digital narratives and using social media for social change.
Throughout my childhood, I was encouraged as well as given the opportunity to appreciate the multicultural nature of Canada. A documentarian and a storyteller at heart, the more I learn about other cultures the more I want to share that information with a broader audience. My husband Victor Cooper, a TV producer and media content developer, is an inspiration to me. Together we write and make short films.
I have an Advanced Diploma in Television and New Media Production from Loyalist College, an Interdisciplinary honours BA with a focus on Media from Laurier Brantford., and a MA in Communication from Mount Saint Vincent University. I am always looking for new challenges that will allow for creative integration of my interests, most recently I have become an Art Therapy Student at the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute.
